The name of this project is "Steve Mc Queen, or the 500,- Euro Bomber". The plan was to combine several ideas:
1. Build a "Flat Track" style bike that Steve Mc Queen would have liked to ride (and be a tribute to that era).
2. Wanted to go all low-budget & recycle.
3. Built a bike for less than 500,- Euro and enter the AMD World Championship Of Custom Bike Building to show (the younger generation) it wouldn't have cost that much to ride a nice bike.
Bought a wreck (sort of barnfind) for 200,- and spent 298,50 on nuts & bolts, some cheap parts from the breakers, fresh oil, some new gaskets and paint. Used 99.9 % non professional tools, and painting was done with spraycans.
