And another one of Billy W, the primer made it even more like a sculpture. The detailing on this man's bike is insane, look at the exhaust, head, trans and nosecone covers
At the end of the eighties Cory followed in his fathers footsteps, I really liked what he did with the fenders here.
In '79 this bike had a huge impact on me! Prototype of the swingarm frame he took later into production. Cast mag wheels, narrowed trees, narrowed fatbob's, and the first time I saw the ribbed primairy. It was love at first sight!
In the mid nineties Donnie Smith ruled with his New Wave style. Great detail, bodywork, new color's and extreme graphic design paintjobs by Jerry and Bonny Sherer
Made in 1993 by Bernard (Buck) Massart from VTM Auch (France). I like his futuristicway of thinking out of the box !
Lil' John Buttera (1941-2008) was a legendary Indy and Funny car builder and built a small series of these bikes in the 1990's The detailing on these bikes was awesome, stuff like CNC milled swingarm with built in brake calipers. Footpegs on the nosecone etc
Superb bike by Boyd Coddington (R.I.P) and Lil' John Buttera (R.I.P). The fabricating and detail are just awesome. These great fabricators died in 2008, just 4 days after each other. Great loss for the customworld!
In the early nineties VQ magazine (USA) had a special on Billy Westbrook, I stared at the pictures of this art deco sculpture for weeks. Everything flows in this bike! The parralel lines in the frame tubes/ rear shocks/ front fork. Hard to see in these small pics are the art decoesque lines in the body work, and sculpted motor covers. The 50's style headlampcover and the fantastic primer finish.
This was the longfork bike that made me "Turn on, tune in and drop out!" . This was pure science fiction in 1978, and I still love it!
Skeeter Todd rocked my (biker)world in '93 with his four cam FXR
